Modern lifestyles are destructive to the natural environment, the soil that grows the food, the water that we drink and the air that we breathe – they poison and destroy our legacy. Modern lifestyles frequently demand that we relocate. Be it for work, for university, for family, for a fresh start or to escape persecution, there are many reasons individuals must relocate. This means they do not have a space they can call their own. People need their own space, a sanctuary, a place to call home and this space needs to be able to move with them.

People need access to the skills to make and maintain their lifestyles. Most people lack confidence with practical skills and don’t have access to the facilities to practise them. Focussed and willing students learn quickly, gain confidence and develop precision to make the components they need to maintain their lifestyles and to contribute to the communities around them. We need educators with tools and equipment to teach people to build lifestyles.
