Not a traditional business

Not a traditional business model

One identity, many contributors

For everybody

For a better world

“No stopping” until it no longer serves

OUR LEGACY:

Each generation of people hands over the world to their children. This is our legacy.

OUR DUTY:

We are only temporary guardians of the world and we must pass it on in the best possible condition so that our children can live happy, healthy lives and bring their own children into the world with confidence that they can do the same. This is our duty.

· Beautiful & Attractive: natural wood grains, clear and coloured finishes, shapely forms in pleasing proportion.

· For people who need a space.

· Affordable: made for you or with you - not just consultation but education - learn with us

· Portable: garden, field, woods, river, trees. On land, on wheels, on water, on stilts. Put it anywhere you want, take it with you when you move on.

· Ickle: cute, compact, cosy, efficient - designed with a lifetime of experience with boats and other small spaces.

· Road tested, stability tested, risk assessed, safety checked. Enjoy with confidence.

· FUNctional: My own space in any place - an affordable home, teenage den, studio, glamping house, AirBnB, mobile trading outlet, workshop, chill-out room, meeting space, yoga space, mini bar – countless purposes. Ergonomically designed to work for real people. Intuitive.

· Eco: Sustainably sourced FSC timber and reclaimed treasures from salvage. Environmentally-friendly and non-toxic finishes. Constantly improving the sustainability of our Ecolodgeickles whilst remaining affordable. Durable, easily maintained, repairable, and at the end of its life, recyclable, compostable and useable as fuel - we consider the whole lifecycle of the product.

“Our legacy is our duty.”

Modern lifestyles are destructive to the natural environment, the soil that grows the food, the water that we drink and the air that we breathe – they poison and destroy our legacy. We need to adjust our perspectives of what we value in the world – we need to value the world itself – to prioritise our duty and be the guardians of our legacy.
“My own space in any place.”

Modern lifestyles frequently demand that we relocate. Be it for work, for university, for family, for a fresh start or to escape persecution, there are many reasons individuals must relocate. This means they do not have a space they can call their own. People need their own space, a sanctuary, a place to call home and this space needs to be able to move with them.
“I built this.”

People need access to the skills to make and maintain their lifestyles. Most people lack confidence with practical skills and don’t have access to the facilities to practise them. Focussed and willing students learn quickly, gain confidence and develop precision to make the components they need to maintain their lifestyles and to contribute to the communities around them. We need educators with tools and equipment to teach people to build lifestyles.
“Fairly exchanged.”

People cannot afford to buy a home, to get “on the property ladder”, this issue is commonplace in Western Europe, the United States and many areas of the developed world. Homes need to be affordable.

TESTEMONIALS:

“A really unique place to stay. Cosy, comfy & extremely well thought-out. Very eco, as well” Felipa - April 2018

"Great little space jam packed with everything you could ever want or need. ” Francis – April 2018

"This was a really fantastic place to stay & surpassed all our expectations... I was impressed by the design & functionality of the tiny home who was designed & built by its owner... I loved the sustainable touches too; toilet flushes using harvested rainwater... Waking to birdsong heard through a vintage porthole window. I urge anyone remotely curious to give it a go, you will not be disappointed.” Anna – March 2018

“Amazing space which has had a lot of thought and time spent on it!” Lorna – February 2018

"The Tiny House on Wheels is beautifully crafted & amazingly, so much bigger on the inside; more like a tardis! I particularly liked the sustainable sourcing of materials & space saving areas like the kitchen that doubles as a dining area & relaxing place to sit & chat. Really clever design.” Romi – January 2018
